The Best Pink Notebook and Netbook Computers

What's the best pink notebook? There is quite a demand for pink notebooks, pink laptops and pink netbooks and far be it from me to suggest who is buying them all, these are not just laptops for women.

What ever the reason you want one is, a pink netbook will stand out from the mass of boring black and white ones out there and will mark you as someone with style and taste, or possibly just someone who likes pink.

Back to the question I started with. Most, if not all, pink netbooks are just standard models with a new paint job. So the best one is going to be the one that fits your budget/size requirements and usage best and then also comes in that perfect shade of pink.

Check out the reviews of the standard models at the bottom of the page and check the pricing when you come to buy as often there is a premium for non black/white models and whether you want to pay it is down to how much you really 'have' to have pink.

Acer Aspire One A110/A150

Good value, 9 inch screen Netbook. Available in Pink but its only the top of the case and keyboard surround thats pink. The rest is standard white. Still as with all Asus Netbooks, it's good looking and well speced for the price.

Acer Aspire One A110/A150

Acer Aspire One D150

Again Acer doesnt let us down when it comes to value in the 10 inch size Netbook. Only problem with the D150 in the 'pink' charts is that it doesnt really have a pink D150 model. The closest is it's red version but it's not that pink. However if your prepared to be flexible on your shade of pink and budget is important then you should at least check it out.

Asus Eee PC 901

Our all time favourite 9 inch netbook and still the one that sees the roughest daily use. As with the Acer the actual color is Sakura red but does look like a very bright shocking pink so sunglasses may be required. It seems there are proper pink 901's around but we can't pin down what markets they are in so look around and you might find one in 'Fuscha Pink' as pictured.

Asus Eee PC 1008HA

10 inches of proper pink from the Asus 1008HA. 10.1 inch screen in the new SeaShell case design make for a pretty good looking machine. It's very thin so will slip in anywhere but the thinness is at the expense of a non user replacable battery which could be a hinderance if you need long life when away from mains power. Pink and red versions are available but we can't find a picture of the pink anywhere on the net so the standard model will have to do.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA

Essentailly the same as the 1008HA but with a user replaceable battery. The increases the thickness but it's still notecably thinner then many netbooks and certainaly thinner than almost any laptop. The added flexibility of the replacable battery wins it for us when compared to the 1008HA. Again no pink notebook picture to be found.

HP Mini 1000 : Vivienne Tam Edition

HP have teamed up with Vivienne Tam to produce this version of the Mini 1000 Netbook. Inspired by traditional Chinese design and modern fashion this special edition pink notebook features a rose red chassis with flower motifs all over. With the HP's full width keyboard and 10 inch screen it's a Netbook any of you with a desire for pink should seriously consider.

LG X110

Essentially a reworked MSI Wind the LG X110 wouldn't seem to have a huge amount going for it on first looks. When you look closer you find out you were right. It's not to say it's terrible, far from it, it is solid has a good keyboard and has built in 3g connectivity but the touchpad is very close tho the keyboard, the built in mobile broadband software is not the best and the battery life is poor. It does have a pink version so here it is.

MSI Wind U100

A plethora of pink from MSI. The MSI Wind is available in pink, Champagne pink and a special edition Valentine edition which, yes you guessed it, is... pink! The Wind itself is a middle of the road Netbook. It's let down by poor battery life as standard and a small touchpad which can make browsing a bit more of a chore than it should be. However don't write it off. With a larger 6 cell battery it can compete on value with the other 10 inchers and if pink is what you need then no other manufacturer offers so many choices.

Samsung NC10

Possibly the best 10 inch mini notebook on the market at the moment the NC10 also has it's pink flavour. It doesnt really have the best of any particular feature but the all round package is well speced with every aspect of it's design and features set level with or close to it's competitors and all at a competitive price. A must look at option.

Sony VAIO P Series

Ok not pink (again) but it is red and if you want something small that can fit in a handbag or possibly even a pocket if the pictures are to be believed then this is ideal. No compromise on functionality either as the Sony does everything you expect of a Netbook and more than many. You will have to compromise on price as the Sony VAIO P Series is not cheap.

Sony VAIO W Series

So at last Sony has succumbed and launched a genuine netbook but somehow we feel slightly let down. Yes it's pretty and pink and has a hi-res 1366 x 786 screen but the poor battery life and lack of innovation anywhere else and the normal exclusive pricing mean that there is far better value to be had elsewhere.

Toshiba NB205

A great pink notebook from Toshiba. Good nearly full width keyboard allowing impressive touch typing speed and a screen that has the shinyness just about right. Seemingly very good battery life and generally nice design but I think the rear looks a bit clunky. The top end model has the metallic look and the metal keyboard while the cheaper models sport the more standard plastic keyboard and it's these versions that are available in pink. Also the pink is limited to the upper case/screen which is a bit of a shame.

Reviews of Pink Notebooks and Netbooks.

Aspire One A110 and A150 - The first Acer Netbook, 8.9 inch screens, SSD and Harddisk Models you won't find cheaper.

Aspire One D150 - 10.1 inch screen, better battery options and in general much improved over the A150 but still retaining value for money.

Asus Eee PC 901 - The sweet spot of Netbooks for many. The 901 has everything a Netbook should have. Good quality, usable screen and keyboard good performance for email/internet and office duties yet small and light enough to forget you've got it in your bag.

HP Mini 1000 - Great keyboard and looks and possibly the most exclusive and complete 'pink notebook' design.

MSI Wind - 3 choices of pink but middle of the road on features and battery performance. You'll need to spend more on a better battery but it will still be good value.

Samsung NC10 - Not the best looker of the bunch but leads the way on built in features.

Sony VAIO P Series - Just amazing. Whether lifestyle PC or Netbook the Sony gets it all in a tiny package, but at a price.

Sony VAIO W Series - The first true Sony netbook but a bit of a disappointment. Sony style and quality makes it good value but apart from a great screen it has little to set it above the competition.
