Best 10 inch mini laptop

The best 10 inch mini laptop is a toss up between the Samsung NC10 and the HP Mini 1000 (also branded as the Compaq mini 700).

Between the two there’s nothing significantly different, except the Samsung has fractionally smaller keys and the HP has only two USB ports (plus one special ‘HP mini mobile drive’ – essentially a USB port for HP memory sticks only – really helpful..).

Both are available for FREE on contracts, the Samsung with O2 and the Compaq mini 700 on Orange and T-Mobile (we recommend the former).

Alternative 10 inch mini laptops include the Asus Eee PC models and the MSI Wind, the original 10 inch netbook.

The Asus Eee PC 1000, 1002HA and S101 are all very qualified variants, whereas the MSI Wind seems somewhat outdated. The MSI Wind is also available, but as an Advent 4211 netbook – around £50 cheaper.
